Here at The Blue Coat school we empower all our pupils to develop a passion for reading. Whether that be reading around their subjects to support with their studies, or discovering the joy of reading for pleasure where they can visit far off places and different worlds from the comfort of the library or their sofa at home.

All our books are available for students to borrow, this includes relevant revision guides across the subject areas as well as a fantastic collection of both Fiction and Non-Fiction books. We also have a selection of DVDs that can also be borrowed.

We encourage our parents to log on to our library dashboard here to see what the recommended reading is for their child’s subjects but also to encourage them to take advantage of our large selection of books that they can read for fun in their own time.

Reading a variety of different books will not only help with subject knowledge but will help your child to improve their spelling, challenge their perspectives, increase their vocabulary and stimulate their imagination.

Did you know we also operate a click and collect service so that books can be dropped off for students in form time? For details on click and collect please see our instructional video.

To access your library account, pupils will need to use your normal school username and password and don’t forget to leave a review once you have finished your book!
