Pupil Support Fee

When new pupils join us we ask parents/carers to contribute a Pupil Support Fee for the duration of their time with us from Year 7 to 11.

This fee is paid into our School Fund which helps us to provide additional benefits for pupils such as support on curriculum-based trips and visits as well as additional materials/ingredients for practical lessons.

The fee also subsidises the running of our wonderful library helping to cover costs for the repair and replacement of lost and damaged stock.

This fee also contributes the provision and maintenance of a number lockers across site that pupil’s can utilise during their time at Blue Coat.

The fee is a £30 one off payment made through Wisepay.

Hardship Fund

The school receives no funding to provide direct financial support for pupils suffering hardship. However, the Trust has retained a small fund available to help in exceptional circumstances. If you feel that your situation might make you eligible, please apply in writing to the Headteacher (secretary@blue-coat.org) explaining why you need financial assistance.

Decisions will include an assessment of direct links to the curriculum, for example:

• Year 8 Belgium/France trip
• Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme
• Theatre, concert and gallery visits beneficial to the syllabuses of English, theatre studies, music and art in Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form. Fieldwork for A-Level geography, biology and science.
